With two convenient locations, the Break Away Café is a family owned and operated business. Having grown up watching his father passionately prepare meals for hungry diners, the head chef followed in his fathers footsteps and has now been in the restaurant business for over 30 years!

The Café is a true family affair. Owners Chris, the head chef, and wife Karyn have been married for 20 years with all four of their kids now playing a role in the business. Their oldest son, CJ, has been known to work the counter as well as prepare meals. Nick, the younger of the boys, loves to cook in addition to playing hockey at the rink. Daughters Karlene, 9, and Darcey, 8, love to wipe down tables or take orders whenever they get the chance.

In addition to preparing your meals, this family owned operation often volunteers time to their community--preparing meals for their church as well as holiday meals at the Pine Street Inn.

At the Break Away Café, they take pride in treating your family to the same home cooked goodness that they serve their own family. Using only the freshest ingredients every meal is cooked to order.
